The Faith at Work Summit is back! The Summit, which gathers leaders from every sector of the faith at work movement, has been relaunched. It’s meeting in Cincinnati on June 17-19, under the leadership of Chuck Proudfit of At Work on Purpose, long known to many in our community as one of the movement’s most faithful and fruitful disciples.

Eight folks from the Fellowship community are going to be speaking from the stage, and we know of at least 15 who are already committed to attend.

One of the most important moments in the early-ish years of our community was at the 2014 Faith at Work Summit. In a large workshop breakout for theological educators, Paul Williams asked this question (relying on the memory of Fellowship folks who were present):

“We say that faith/work integration is on every page of the Bible, which is true. And we say that our people read the Bible every day and don’t see it, which is also true. So the question we need to ask is, ‘What’s wrong with the way we teach our people to read their Bibles, such that they read their Bibles every day and don’t see this?’”

The room practically exploded with affirmations. We particularly remember Darrell Bock exclaiming: “That’s exactly right!”

It was a moment!
