Save the date! Our next faculty retreat is coming up in Dallas on Jan. 7-9.

Registration and hotel block details are expected to become available soon. We just didn’t want to wait to let you know the where and when.

We and our schools are under more pressure than ever. It sometimes feels like it’s no longer possible for an academic institution to be a true learning community. And it also feels like it’s no longer possible for each of us to do all that is demanded of us, as our job responsibilities grow seemingly without limit!

We’re pulling together a “dream team” of leaders to help us think together about individual and community sustainability in the theological education:

  • Donald Guthrie of TEDS and Nelson Morales of SETECA (Guatemala) on how community is formed and sustained in theological schools
  • Kelly Kapic of Covenant College on learning how to respect the limits God created us to work within
  • Darrell Bock and others (look for more announcements) on the biblical roots of our rootedness

There will be no fee to attend the retreat. If you cover your travel, we’ll provide the meals and all the rest – including, especially, the rest.

We’ll be meeting from dinner on Wednesday, January 7 until lunch on Friday, January 9.

Dinner on Wednesday and Thursday as well as lunch on Thursday and Friday will be provided.

Like we said, registration and our hotel block details should be available soon.

Until then, hold the date! We look forward to seeing you there.
