We had an amazing time with amazing people, experiencing amazing pictures and an amazing set of workshops from our amazing friend Christina Bieber Lake, learning to reconnect with the amazing grace of our amazing God.
That was our faculty retreat on January 2-4, 2025!
We are grateful to our fantastic partners at Biola University, especially Jonathan Puls of their art department, and of course to Christina for an amazing retreat!
You didn’t think we were going for a walk in LA, did you? (Steve Martin, call your office!)
Connecting and reconnecting is always one of the best parts of a Fellowship retreat.
Christina Bieber Lake called on us to recall our true calling: to be human beings first, scholars and educators second, employees of our institutions third.
Eighteen theological educators walk into a world class art museum. Write your own joke!
The Getty is a world-class art institution. The path that leads you down to this garden snakes back and forth over and over again, inviting you to see it from many angles.
Jonathan Puls, chair of Biola’s art department, gave us a fantastic tour of the art, connecting it to both theological and cultural developments in history.
Cheers to a great time together, and to a 2025 grounded in God’s grace!
