The Oikonomia Network is proud to release its 2020 Impact Report. This document introduces the mission and vision of the network, with an overview of who our partners are and what we’re doing; provides testimonies and statistics on the scope of our impact; and previews our needs and opportunities for the years ahead.
Who are these strange people in the “Oy-koh-noh-MEE-ah” network – or is it the “Oy-koh-NOH-mee-ah” network?
They’re a network partnering with 21 evangelical theological schools, carrying out a new mission in theological education that currently equips almost 500 classes each semester, with enrollments totaling over 7,800 future leaders. And we have the potential to reach many more.
Our library of video resources, the Economic Wisdom Project Talks, continues to serve our network well. Classes assigning EWP Talks have enrollments of over 600 students per semester, so our annual total student views from classroom assignments are over 1,300. Since EWP Talks are an ideal resource for pandemic-adjusted pedagogy in digital and hybrid classrooms, we hope to see those numbers grow in the “new normal” environment. Check them out and consider them for your classroom at econoimcwisdom.org!
The problem: Millions of Christians aren’t connecting the gospel to their daily lives and work, because too many pastors aren’t equipped to connect the gospel to what their people actually do all day.
Our vision: A robust community of theological educators and schools dedicated to raising up church leaders who help people develop whole-life discipleship, fruitful work and economic wisdom for God’s people and God’s world.
