We’re celebrating here at ON headquarters! InterVarsity Press has adapted a video from Karam Forum 2017 to promote Tom Nelson’s new book, The Economics of Neighborly Love.
It’s a win-win-win occasion. Tom’s book is a theologically rich exploration of the role of fruitfulness in the Old and New Testaments, and its consequences for the way the church lives today. That’s why we featured it at our annual ETS event last month.
The talk (whether IVP’s version or ours) is a great curricular tool for introducing these critical issues to your students. It’s a fit for New Testament and theology classes (to explore the theme of fruitfulness) or ethnics and mission classes (to explore the church’s responsibility in an age of economic disruption).
And of course we think pretty highly of Karam Forum as well! Tom’s talk was only one of the many stimulating talks at Karam Forum 2017.
Register for Karam Forum 2018, featuring Andy Crouch, Brian Fikkert, Mako Fujimura and Brent Waters as well as returning speakers like Darrell Bock and Amy Sherman. Our flipped conference format will focus on dialogue and collaboration, without leaving behind great talks and video resources to use with students. The first talks for KF18 are already available!
Peer recommendations are the most important way to get people connected to this collaborative and catalyzing event, so please reach out to friends, connections and networks. We look forward to seeing you in Los Angeles!
