Our name is derived from the Greek term used in the New Testament to refer to discipleship responsibilities (“stewardship”) and also the management of business and the city’s public treasury (“economics”). This name embodies our conviction that discipleship to Christ leads us to value human flourishing and work to serve the common good of all our communities. See our Student Outcome Goals for more on our purpose and vision.
