Here are some new and “new to us” video resources to consider:
Oikonomia Network introductory video & one-minute trailer:
This short video, shot in the unique environment of the Grohmann Museum, offers the perfect introduction to our network. Share this video with your peers and anyone else who’s interested in what you’re up to! We have also put together a one-minute trailer version to whet people’s appetites for the full video. Many thanks again to the faculty leaders who participated.
Neighborhood Film Company introductory video
This short clip offers an incredibly powerful, real-life testimony of how work restores dignity to the marginalized; “It’s more than just about work, a job, a paycheck,” a former drug dealer testifies, saying, “It goes further than that. At the end of the road, it’s love, man.”
In their “Why We’re Here” statement, the Neighborhood Film Company – which hires and trains recovering addicts and the homeless – describes the failure of schools and public programs to meet the needs of society’s most broken. It calls upon Christians to mobilize and create real jobs in profitable businesses that are accessible to this population.
